There are few things in the world that can translate so many meanings without a word. Havaianas sandals are in this strict list for sure. Trying to translate everything is not said around the brand/product as the challenge that took all this images, textures and movements out of our heads.

"This is Havaianas" campaign features a series of animations about the brand's history, curiosities, and how it relates to and is part of our Brazilian charm. For this, in each script, we reference Brazil in some way, whether through characters or well-known symbols from our culture.

One of my favorite videos for the campaign features different characters and referencing iconic figures from the Tropicália movement like Gil, Caetano, and Nara Leão, it portrays the hippies of the 60s and the traveling salesmen - responsible for spreading Havaianas throughout Brazil!

Havaianas is increasingly gracing the runways of fashion shows, covers of fashion magazines, and the most prestigious shop windows worldwide. That's why we designed this character who experiences fashion in their day-to-day life and scenes that bring more Brazilian references.

The Havaianas production process involves the assistance of more than 24 hands before reaching the end-user. The short film pays tribute to these individuals who participate in the manufacturing process, giving it a fantastic touch. Drawing so many hands was a lot of fun because I had to think about each pose to keep them friendly and amusing!
